Current mood:  grateful
Without posting a new piece of work on here in over 9 months, I just hit 10,000 blog views last week on here. There are roughly 20-30 people viewing my blogs every day, and I have no idea who these folks are! Perhaps I should write something new to get back into the ol' blogging spirit again!

Life has been sheer chaos for me over the last 6-7 months, but it appears that things are stabilizing. I took (and passed) my board exams for Otolaryngology, bought a house, moved with my family for the second time in a year, started a new job, and am starting a new laboratory to do cancer research and voice disorder projects. So, just a little bit going on.

Anyways, thanks to those of you who are continuing to stop by these blogs. I'll try to post something new soon to say thanks for the 10,611 sets of eyes that have read my stuff!

Congrads!  It's technically against Myspace's TOS, but you can get a tracker like MixMap and place it in your blog so you can at least know where your readers live and how often they look at your blogs.  Just a thought.

Thanks, Ryan - I will definitely look into that, although I have to say my gut is to leave it totally anonymous. It's kind of the spirit of these blogs that you can cruise through them without being known if you want...

That's a full year, my friend. I'm sure I'll enjoy the next blog, whenever you find the time for it.

Don't know if I agree with you Antoin, but I appreciate the kind words nonetheless.

Congrats on being a real, live Otolarynologist!!  What an accomplishment that is.  I know you will help many, many people in your lifetime.  My brother is going in for his checkup today-it's been 17 months without a single seizure.
Looking forward to your next blog!

That is awesome - no seizures means a return to normal life for him. I spent my morning operating on veterans here in Milwaukee, and it all went well. Sometimes hard to believe that I'm the main guy in that room helping them now, but it's true!

Very glad to read that you are doing well.  Bethie is still in REMISSION from her malignant paraganglioma (carotid body tumor) and starts college next week!!  It is thanks to Otolaryngologist's like you that she is still here.  Without the team (including the chief of vascular surgery at HUP) who did her 11 hour long surgery, my teenage daughter would have died.  Thank you very much for all you do to help your patients, it is truly appreciated by them and their families.  Keep up the great work!!!      Hey, where are you living now?

I'm back in Wisconsin now, and things are good. Thanks for the words of encouragement - I can definitely use them right now!

welcome back, doc. Good to read you're doing fine. And if you need a lab technician, give me a shout, you never know I'd be open at the time.
