Get Your Band On Announces change of direction

Leicester, 26th September 2009

Having operated as a band management agency for about four years, getyourbandon.co.uk, now plans to launch as an on-line magazine, from early October.

The new on-line magazine (webzine) will draw on experience gained over the past four years, to provide content about band management, development and promotion for unsigned bands.

As a result of the change, a range of services previously provided by GYBO will cease, but will be replaced by content, news and information aimed at the unsigned rock band and music market in the UK.

The move has been sparked by the down-turn in the economy and by the success of the local web site Arts in Leicestershire, also produced by the business behind the GYBO web site.

The new magazine will be called "Get Your Band On" and will be edited by Trevor Locke. It will be aimed at a national readership. It will probably be published on a monthly basis. There will be no paper equivalent of the magazine.
