I remember, long time ago, exactly in the 1996, when I was listening to the radio, suddenly, a great song was coming out from it. It was night at that time, and the speaker, reminded the name of the group and the title--- "They were Morcheeba" at the end.

The next day I went out and searched for their album, lucky, I found it. I came back home and I put it on, sitting quietly. I was trying to indulge into their sound and let my mind take a good musical trip.

Their album, which was published in that year named "Who can you trust?" let me start to approach to the Trip Hop kind of music. This kind of music was very slow with some deep atmosphere. This certain kind of music so called by Massive attack and Portishead have been building since the 1990.

After "Who can you trust?", the numbers of Morcheba’s productions were handsome. However, from the second album, they started to play a commercial sound, easier for the audiences, less deep, not bad, anyway.

And now they are coming back with their new album, called "Dive depp". Compared with the others published in the past, this time Morcheeba tried to use the collaboration of many singers, who gave their voices to realize the new songs.

Take the song named "Enjoy the ride" for example. The starting track was sing by the great voice of Judy Tzuke. Inside the album she sings another song as well, called "Blue chair". Both the songs expressed a very colourful atmosphere especially the first song, you may feel the relaxation could be transformed by the melody and her beautiful voice. I liked this song very much since I heard it for the first time. Its melody captures your mind and the kind of sounds they used realized fully the aim of the song, inviting to "Enjoy the ride".

After "Enjoy the ride", there is "Reverbed", sing by Thomas Dybdahal. I have to say that this song is terrific, very relaxing, maybe you could explore the depth of the night. Dybdahal’s voice reminded me the voice of another great singer, although unknown to almost of the people: David Silvian. In particular, I would like to recommend a song he performed in 1999 called "Surrender".
I found some country atmosphere while I was listening to this album, in particular the song which was cooperated with Bradley. There are two rhythmic structures in the song, the main one is been composed with the drum, the second is kept alive using a country rhythm, played by the acoustic guitar.

Well, I really have to say that this album takes lots patterns of music in it. The way of performing music in the traditional ways, using the various instruments, and mixing them with the scratch like what happens in Blue chair, what is more, the slow beat …these mentioned above are a common theme for the entire album.

Enjoy the music, enjoy the life!
