Kudzu Submission Guidelines
General Facts Regarding All Submissions
Never submit an original copy
No topic restrictions
Deadlines are postmark deadlines
Do not summarize your work; let the writing speak for itself
If submitting more than one genre of work, please submit separately
Submissions must be typewritten, include a
cover letter containing biographical and publication information, and
remember to use either the Microsoft Word or Rich Text formatting.
All work submitted without a SASE
(self-addressed stamped envelope) will be recycled. Response will only
be given if a SASE or email address is provided
All work will be considered if guidelines are appropriately followed; please adhere to the following:
Fiction & Essays: Should be no more than 4,000 words. Name and contact information on the first page, please!
Poetry: Submit up to 5 poems, each containing no more than 4 pages per poem. Name and contact page on each poem.
Pen and Ink Drawings: Size should be no larger than 7" x 9."
Photography: Black & white photos only. If work is accepted then the original 4" x 6" must be provided. Submit as jpeg format.
Keep in mind. This is a college literary magazine
and some work may be unsuitable for publication;
however, send your very best work, regardless of topic!
