"Alternative country's golden goddess."  - NPR

Since appearing on the scene years ago Kelly Willis has left her stamp on every lyric she sings and brings a charisma and tenderness that leaves fans waiting for her next album.  2007's Translated From Love received glowing reviews, clearly cementing her place in the alt-country (or as we like to call it, just good music) scene.  Rolling Stone said Kelly's "sweet, burnished voice practically spells heartache… Willis drapes her yearning voice over the tough but funny lyrics."  We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Tonight, her rollicking, roadhouse band will join Kelly for our Fall Festival!

Terry Adams, founder and driving force of NRBQ for decades, is one of the most innovative keyboard players of the past 40 years. A colorful eccentric, Adams recently recorded a new album, Rhythm Spell, and the roadhouse rockin' songs are some of the best he's recorded.  Tonight he will be performing with his new Rock & Roll Quartet, joined by Chicago's own Scott Ligon.

"A natural wonder like the Grand Canyon." –Washington Post

Candye Kane is a colorful mixture of the traditional and the eclectic. Her background as an L.A. punk rock anarchist and her outspoken activism for the disenfranchised, and often says she is a "black drag queen trapped in a white woman's body" and she dresses the part. After surviving a rough childhood in which her mother taught her how to shoplift at age 9, Candye finally found a home in the empowering legacy of the blues.  A performer in every sense of the word a Candye Kane show is not to be missed and never to be forgotten.

Whether he is playing new wave or folk rock, Peter Case has been playing for years, creating memorable music that describes the American experience.  His albums have been named Album of the Year by the New York Times and nominated for Grammy's. Case has performed at the George Harrison, John Hiatt and many more.  Recently his songs have taken a political bent, making Case an artist who articulates his opinion and shares his hope.

Michael Fracasso "…transcend(s) the realms of hardcore honky-tonk and folksy excess. Fracasso… gloriously integrated a countrified Texas twang with Beatlesque popisms and rocking enthusiasm."  - Mitch Myers, New City

Michael Fracasso was born to Italian immigrants in a small Ohio mill town.  After a few tries at college, Fracasso moved to NY to learn the art of songwriting.  But after performing for other up and coming songwriters like Suzanne Vega, the traveling bug hit again and in 1990 Michael was off to THE music city, Austin, Texas.  A few cds and thousands of shows later Michael Fracasso has made a name for himself as a performer who shares his secrets and keeps the crowds on their feet with only his guitar and tenor voice.

The Chicago Cajun Aces are a FitzGerald's favorite!  This is as close as you can get to a Saturday night dance in Cajun country without leaving Cook County!
