I stood on the street below your helipad one day and watched you set down then unload your patient. I've always been facintated with choppers (first as a child raised near a Naval airfield then as a Marine) but nothing is as thrilling as your landing and delivering patients to the hospital. This day, I was moved to write this poem about the power of your machine and your mission.
Ezekiel's Dragon A dragon of wheels
a hurricane of hot breath and
whirring, slapping wings
sets its talons on the roof
of a hospital.
Ezekiel’s wheels
an angel disgorging angels
into its nest
bringing the suffering
into the arms of God.
