Heyo!
 Matt here…Well, we’re back home in Freddy after our first Official Canadian Tour and we’re totally happy how everything went! I feel like a full-fledged Canuck rocker now that I can say we toured this country in the dead of winter…lol! IT IS FREAKING COLD OUT WEST IN THE WINTER!  I’m sure everyone out there reading this is thinking “DUH!” Anyway, the cold weather didn’t affect the turnout and all our shows were awesome - we met so many great people!

Gotta say thanks to the boys in Soul Side In (and Gord) for putting up with us on the bus… and Trevor Hurst from Econoline Crush for being so cool, and getting up to rock 18 and Life with us… Also, we wanna thank the State of Shock peeps for the great gigs and general good times afterwards. As well as Default for rocking the Ontario gigs and making us feel so welcome on the bill… great band and guys and we made some great friends! Oh and our buds at Virgin Radio Ottawa (hellooo Kittie), and Trapper at the Wolf in Regina, who has been one of our most loyal supporters (we finally made it out there...lol) for inviting us in for a visit! and to all the stations that pumped the shows!
 
As for Canadian Music Week 2009 - it exceeded all of our expectations! We were a little concerned at our 8am, that’s right AM sound-check for the CRMA’s that we wouldn’t sound up to par during the Awards Show, but it turned out great...! and what do you know... we actually won the award for Best New Rock Group of the Year -  pretty cool!
 
Now for the highlight of the tour (for me, and I’m sure everyone else)…our Toronto Live Nation show at the Sound Academy with Buckcherry, Papa Roach and Rev Theory. We weren’t too sure how well known we were in the Toronto market, but apparently better than we realized! I’d say it was our best show to date, the crowd was rocking start to finish, with the ultimate compliment of the night with the fans singing back Afflicted to us!! Oh - and Jacoby from PR gave us a wicked shout out during their set (which was UNREAL btw… HOLY CRAP they rock!!) Got to hang with lots of friends we hadn’t seen in a while after as well, which was great!
 
So, next for us… more tour dates coming soon… including US dates which we are excited about! Also our new video for “Overrated” our second single in Canada, will be done next week… a lot of the live footage was shot on this tour, so keep an eye out for yourself!
