it was friday 8-29-08 day of my crue fest show.i had to call to see about my camera, they told me no cameras at all especially my 35mm w/ zoom lens cause it was considered professional.so i left it home but took my dad's digital in my purse & as soon as i can find the damn cord to down load them i will.anyway my brother ronnie & i took the 2hr drive to SPAC(saratoga performing arts center)which was grey & drizzling but as we got closer it stopped.we started out listening to papa roach on ronnie's mp3 till we got to were we could get a radio channel to come in(had to get out of the mountains).
we got to the SPAC parking lot at 3:30pm & had to sit around till the gates opened at 4pm.so far there weren't to many people there till about 3:55pm then we got swormed but everyone formed one line which was funny cause it was so clear that there was more then one line. anyway they finally opened the gates at 4:15pm & the made you dump your bottles out into cups they gave you, then checked all bags for weapons & if they thought they needed to they patted some down, i started laughing cause they patted my brother down, the guy was kinda cute so i got a little jealous(lol). first thing i did was go & get my t-shirt so i wouldn't have to deal w/ any lines since there weren't any, $35 for a crue fest one $40 for s.o.l.a, i just got the fest one.then we went to the beer tent & paid $11 for a large beer.all i could think at that point was thank god we hit mcdonald's before we got there, i didn't want to see how much a friggin hot dog was(lol).then went & checked out the rock band stand.then made our way down to our seats, which were better then i thought, 9 rows from the stage but all the way to the left & under the big screen, we were right near all the bands buses.i saw one of the crue buses pull in then i saw vince neil's bus pull in but cause the way they were parking you couldn't get any pix whiched sucked.there still didn't seem like there was many people there.while they were setting up the first band i called someone to rub it in her face for not going w/ my but she wasn't home & the person on the fun yelled at me to turn the sterio down & all i could do was laugh & say it was the concert then hung up cause it was getting to loud to hear him(lol).
the 1st band up was TRAPT, i didn't think i knew them but i knew 1 song they played.they were really good after a few sound adjustments.
2nd up was SIXX:AM,they were great & much better in person, nikki of corse gorgeous & sexy as always,dj wow those blue eyes of his just pull you in were you feel like you're in a trance & he was like a cute little monkey up on stage climbing up on things & running every where,james his voice is so amazing live & that smile of his,wow.
3rd up was PAPA ROACH,i've never been a fan of their's but after seeing them live i think i am now(lol), they were great & the singer even jumped of the stage & went threw the crowd.i knew a few of the songs they played.the singer looks even more hot live.
4th up was BUCKCHERRY, i thought they sucked, i hope that night was just a bad night for them.i know 2 of their song crazy bitch being 1 & the singer was adding dirty words that aren't in the song & leaving out sentences. personally i think he was drunk or drugged cause it seemed like he was also having trouble standing & walking.
next was the rock band winners, they were pretty good.
5th & the best for last MOTLEY F**KIN CRUE,absolutely awsome!!! pix & videos do not do these boyz justice! much much much better in person.the part i thought was the greatest was when vince grabbed a 4yr old boy out of the pit, the boy kept stairing at the camera & nikki kept trying to get the boys attention but he wouldn't look at him, nikki shugged his shoulders & stuck one of his bass picks in the boys pants pocket, then vince passed him back to his dad. when tommy came out w/ his bottle he passed it out & some guy passed it to his friend next to him & tommy got pissed off & yelled at the guy to pass it back, i thought tommy was gonna jump on the guy(lol). tit e. cam was great & funny as hell.i couldn't believe some of the stuff that they were putting up on the big screens while they were playing it was alot better then some of the porn i've seen. mick was really great & when he was doing his solo the floors were vibrating & you could feel ever single note go right through your whole body.nikki was sensationally awsomely perfect, fine as f**k & sexy, i just wish he would have come to the left side of the stage more. tommy was just pounding away like always & looking sexy as hell doing it.vince oh how i wish i was that angel that came out & kissed him but i would'nt have stopped there i would have kissed them all(lol).
while crue was playing i happened to look towards the buses & about 10 feet from me was james micheal, i tried to call him but crue was to loud for him to hear me & before i could get my camera up to take a pic he was gone, i wa so pissed cause i couldn't get to met him or take a pic. so friggin close.
when it was all over i went in to the bathroom & while i was waiting i was watching these 2 ladies that were so drunk off their asses that they couldn't find each other & kept going around the circle looking & screaming for each other,when everyone was laughing at them i felt bad for them so i made the one lady stand still till the other one came back around. then they hugged each other & then left.
i was gonna go back to the both to see what they had left to buy but they were all crazy packed so we went to the car. we were pretty close to the exit & it took us about 30mins to get out, i felt bad for the others at the other end.the road was grazy too until we got about 5 miles down the road. then we were home free.it was the best concert i've ever been to & hope they do, do it again next summer like they said they are cause i will be there! well that was my experience & i wish it didn't have to end but it did.& i will never forget it!
