We seem to get asked the same questions over and over again, so we thought it would be nice to add an FAQ to the page. So, here goes.
Q: What happened to the songs on your MySpace page?
A: MySpace will cancel any account without notice if they feel that the pages contents violate copyright law. There is no arguing the point afterward, either. MySpace is protecting it's own ass. And, our Tom Petty account was deleted because of the songs on it. So, we decided to pull the songs off to keep this account active. You can still hear and see us at our web page. The address is www.astrocreep2000.com.
Q: Didn't you used to have a hot ass chick bass player?
A: Yes. Two, actually. The first was Lady Di, then Peaches. Sometimes, shit happens, and bands lose members. After Peaches left, the band decided to give her roadie/filmographer/videographer Ricky a try. Since Ricky had been playing bass for more than a decade and was a huge fan of Zombie's work (that and everyone actually got along with him, which in bands, is often more valuable than talent), he was a perfect fit. Besides, Rob himself now has Blasko laying down the bass lines for him. So it wasn't that much of a stretch.
No one has heard from Lady Di in a while. Peaches, on the other hand, has a MySpace page. You can find her here. Stop by and say hi.
Q: Who the hell are you to rip off Rob Zombie's good name and profit from his hard work?
A: First off, we do this because we love Zombie's work and we want to share it with as many people as we can. We would be just as happy if at every show the entire crowd took the stage and we played from the floor. Because WE LOVE YOU. That's why our show is so interactive with the crowd. We are just as much Zombie fans as you are. And as far as profit goes, we have yet to make a single penny. The money that we put into this act for staging, effects, costumes, props, and equipment will more than likely never be recouped. And we don't care. It's never been about the money, it's always been about the show. As long as we can still have fun doing this, and entertain you, we'll keep doing it.
Q: Is it true you guys played that show where Glen Danzig got punched by that guy?
A: Yes. Actually, we were the last band to go .. Mr. Danzig, and we hung out at the side of the stage for a majority of his set. Some of us even got pictures with him (see the web page. www.astrocreep2000.com). And when all of that shit went down, Scott was standing directly behind the guy holding the video camera.
Q: Have any of you ever met Rob Zombie?
A: No. We have friends that have, but none of us have had the pleasure. If we ever do, you can be sure pictures of it will be posted all over the internet.
Q: Who does your props?
A: That would be Todd. The man is seriously demented. Every prop we've ever had on stage - and more - are decorating Todd's house. It's like Halloween all year round. Or like A Museum Of Monsters And Madmen, if you catch my meaning.
Q: Why don't you guys play Welcome To Planet Motherfucker or Demonoid Phenomenon or Pussy Liquor or...
A: Currently, our set is more than 2 1/2 hours long. We try to play all of the hits, as well as the entire Astrocreep2000 album (we are after all Astrocreep2000!). We are continually trying to add more, but that is a long set. If we add one, one has to be taken out, and people would ask us why we don't play that song anymore. Again, we do this because of our love for Rob's work and we do it for you to enjoy. So we have to balance out the set for what we think the crowd will enjoy the most.
Q: When are you guys coming to my town?
A: We book nationally and locally. We continually book and continually try to get our show out to more and more new people. We are currently developing a once-a-month deal with a local club. Stay tuned for details on that. As far as other shows, keep looking here and on our web page - www.astrocreep2000.com - for shows, and hit up your local venues and tell them how much you want us to play there, and give them our web address - www.astrocreep2000.com. We have lots of promo material for those who are interested.
Q: Did you guys really play with Ozzy in Texas?
A: No. The video on our web page that is in question is from a Halloween show we did in Odessa, Texas a few years back. The Ozzy that you see is from the band we played with that night, Ozzmosis, an excellent Ozzy tribute from Ohio. We learned Children Of The Grave just for that occasion. He really pulls Ozzy off well, don't you think?
Q: Why "Astrocreep2000"? Why not just "Astrocreep"?
A: Welcome to the age of technology. The band was originally to be named just Astrocreep. However, the web domain astrocreep.com was already taken. Knowing how powerful a tool the internet is for bands and music, we opted for Astrocreep2000. And www.astrocreep2000.com. (I bet you didn't think I could sneak another plug for our web page, did you?)
Q: Is Scott single?
A: Why yes, he is. And yes, the chest hair is real.
Q: Didn't you used to have hot ass dancers on stage with you, just like the real Zombie does?
A: Why yes, yes we did. Peaches originally started out as a dancer; after Lady Di left, she moved into the bass player position. Peaches danced alongside Dimentia. Dimentia is now a professional wrestler working the east coast circuits under the name Liz Savage. You can check her exploits here. Now-a-days, we simply pull lovely ladies out of the crowd to join us on stage. It's fun having that unscripted element in the show. When you lovely ladies take the stage, anything can happen - and does.
