The latest Tyler Perry movie "Why Did I Get Married" is better than ok. You will pleasantly suprised with how Tyler handled the touchy subject of the drama amongst married folks. It definitely pushes a couple of buttons and makes you wonder the worth of a relationship. There is plenty to laugh about as well. I'm not a big Tyler Perry fan beyond the plays, and the Madea act has a gotten a little old, so it was nice to see something different. Great acting by Jill Scott! You really feel for her and root for her to get payback. Janet Jackson and Tasha Scott were really good as well. I have a new crush...Lamman Rucker. Where's my sheriff?

Bay Area folks, go see the musical "The Color Purple" which is currently playing at The Orpheum in SF for the next month or so. Latoya London from the American Idol season with Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson plays the role of Nettie, and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child plays the role of Shug, and she's a pleasant surprise. You will have a great time. When it comes anywhere near you, put it on your calendar of must sees.
