We are now up and running on yet another '
Buy Early, Get Now' program for
Matador Records forthcoming
Yo La Tengo album,
Popular Songs, to be released on
Tuesday September 8th on
cd & lp! It is very similar to how the last
Sonic Youth BEGN program went down. The only real difference being that this time around customers are required to log-in to the BEGN website in order to guarantee they receive their bonus materials. If you choose to take part in this program all you have to do is come in to Aboveground and pay for whatever format you prefer (cd or lp) and we give you a perforated purchase card with your log-in number on it, which you use to activate your bonus materials. So here's how it break's down...along with the actual album in the format of your choice you will also receive:
- a Live LP (VINYL ONLY) of the Adventureland soundtrack
- a poster
- and more to be announced...
And here's the TIMELINE for all the extra goodies:
July 28 - Album stream goes live
August 18 - First Bonus MP3
September 1 - Second Bonus MP3
September 8 - Customers pick up
CD or 2xLP, Live LP & bonus poster
And the prices are as follows:
dbl LP + LP bundle: $35
CD + LP bundle: $25
***If all this is confusing to you or if all you want is the new Yo La Tengo album (minus the bonus goodies) don't you worry! All you gotta do is come in to the record store on release date (September 8th) and buy one, just like you always do No need to worry about any of this.
