Hello
out there people of the webbed world.
So this is a blog long overdue.. But I think I have been saving up for this
one. It has been really cool to leak out the announcements of exciting
little tidbits as I have been allowed. Things including Womad, Woodford,
Peats Ridge, Mullum Festival the odd spin on Triple J and the love coming our
way via the folk at ITUNES by being picked Single of the Week. This has
been an incredible and terrifying process for me. Writing the songs was
easy compared to everything that has come since! Recording them was a
great journey.... But now releasing them and sharing them has bought with it a
torrent of challenges that I hadn’t bargained for.
The nod from ITUNES
was so encouraging. Choosing “Tore my Heart Out” was a really hard
call. It is one of my more intimate songs and it felt like a really
vulnerable start to this whole process.. Anyway I am rambling.. What I am
trying to get to is that I am chuffed that I am finally doing this, and as hard
as it gets, and no matter how difficult I find it to strike the balance between
Mama Kin, managing Mama Kin, booking Mama Kin and then being a Mama to my
beautiful ones, I know I need to keep doing this in some way, and ultimately I
am happier for it.

out the new clip we made.. It is my first attempt at making a video clip..
Hooked up with Becka and Harry at Newborn Productions and they made a vision
possible in an incredibly short amount of time. Soul crew.. And we had a
GREAT time shooting it on the day.. Great big laughs.
We will be launching the album in Feb 2010 so stay tuned.
