As a child of the 80's my best friend Brad and I were obsessed with professional wrestling . So much in fact we had my mother makes us spandex tights. Brad's pair was a sea foam green with sparkles. My pair was Prince purple with rips and knee tassels. My patented moved required me to leap from the top turn buckle or arm of the couch in the basement and drop a devastating headbutt. I had a great a shtick my interviews were on point i was set for stardom . We wore the tights every day some times up to 4 matches a day during summer vacation. We took took our vitamins and said our prayers. But do to the fact that neither one of enjoyed being punched in the face or having our vertebrate accidentally crushed by pile drivers performed wrong we both packed up our tights and found careers in the safer more stable music business.
When I first caught wind of the film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood
