Everyone seems to have an opinion on "prop 8" and believe it or not I do too. First off let me start by saying I didn't vote. Right about now there are some people who are thinking, "well, if you didn't vote you don't get to have an opinion." I have never voted. I don't usualy see the point of me voting in the state of california. I tend to go against everything that this state stands for. As it turns out, in this instance, I still do. Had I actually taken the time to register and gone to the polls I would have voted NO on prop 8. Not for some noble civil rights cause. Not because I believe in equal rights for everyone. (trust me, there are some idiots in this world who don't deserve to have the same rights as me.) I would have voted no because I don't care. I don't care what people do in their own lives. I don't care if two gays or two lesbians want to live together, forever. If it makes them happy why should it make me unhappy?

Now that I have established my stand, let me get to the real point of this post. The no on 8 people are going a little too far.

I get the rallys. I get the protests. These are all fine and good. It's your right as americans to protest if you think you've been wronged. But adding violence and vandalism to these protests is not the right way to go about things. Spray painting "No on H8" on businesses that supported the proposition is not helping your cause. Physically fighting people in the streets is not helping your cause. Now I've seen a report that some protesters are searching out individual people who voted YES and are harrasing them day and night. This. Is. Not. Helping. Your. Cause.

The more radical the actions get, the more likely you are to errode the support of moderates like myself. And if that happens what chance would you really have. Votes are not won by extremists on either side of an issue, but by the people in the middle.
