We've been hella busy at a-slam and apologize for not keeping up with the news, so this one's a little packed.  Thank you for all the text messages and phone calls.  For those that haven't heard, some HHHUUGGEE NEEWWS, we won first place in the hip-hop / R & B category in the International Song writing Competition ( http://songwritingcompetition.com/winners.htm ).  See the site for a full list of winners, Canada did really well, and we're the only winners from BC!!  See below for the official winners email.  
So what we need from you now, is to please email The Beat 94.5 at heydj@thebeat.com , and request "For You – a-slam music productions".  They have the song and know about us, now they just have to play it.  So please email the beat and get everyone you know to email them please.

And we performed at the 604 comedy showcase last Sunday at caprice.  Again the video is on our site homepage.  The direct link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrUhCiaok3s .  We were slightly worried that they wouldn't be feeling the Punjabi-hip/hop fusion, BUT THEY LOVED IT.  Crowed cheered so loud it was unbelievable, and they even brought us back on stage.  Big thank you to LGP and 604 promotions for the opportunity.  

Our last thank you goes out to Paul from the Renfrew-Collingwood community newspaper for putting us on the front page.  You can pick-up a copy of the paper at Collingwood Neighborhood House, the Policing Centre, Winderemere Secondary or any other community / school buildings in the Collingwood-Renfrew Community.
