Hello,

I'm writing to let you know that we are working ..ing up the new record in late Mid to late August. We are currently recording the vocals, back up vocals, and keyboard parts. after that its mixing, mastering, and duplication. The record is Going to be called The Bright Branching or Record B. It will feature Anna from the first record on bass guitar, Myself "Champlin" on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Matthew Roberts on drums, and Gwen from the first record ..s and back up vocals, and Zach Roth "previously the bass player of Allies in Chaos" on electric guitar. and a serious of guest musicians and friends.

The mastering of the record is going to be done by an engineer that has worked with Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, and Tegan and Sara, so its really exiting for us. We do want to get the record out as soon as possible but its important that we are satisfied with everything before we release. We will be playing a show on August 15th though in St. Cloud MN at the Paramount Theatre. and this will be a pre sale show for the new record. Tickets are available on www.paramountarts.org This event is put on by a group called rage against abuse. Every one who pre-orders the new record will receive a free copy of cathy Crescendo B-sides Volume 1. This will be our way of saying thank you for buying the new record. With the money we collect on the 15th we will make the final push for release. We will try to have a specific date of release by the 15th.


In other news, there have been a-lot of member changes with cC since the beginning and that trend is going to continue. Our drummer Matthew will be leaving to Chicago for music school this August and Adam Kiesling "formerly of Allies in Chaos" will be stepping in as the drummer of cC. We are very exited but very sad at the same time. We do intend to continue working with Matthew in the future but we strongly encourage him in his studies. There is also a possibility of Gwen rejoining the group ..s and back up vocals. She will be working with us on the record and possibly the live shows. More news on that TBA. As for electric guitar we are planning on working with Zach Roth "formerly of Allies in Chaos" but we are always looking for help with electric guitar for live shows so if you or anyone you know has gear and a guitar and would like to audition to play with us please contact us via cathycrescendo@gmail.com or myspace.com/cathycrescendo

And as always i just wanted to thank you for being our friend. It means so much to have you come out to shows, listen to the record, or just chat with us occasionally. We know how crazy the music scene is. and we are really not looking to compete with it :) we just want to make some friends along the way while we do what we love. so thanks for being there.
