Many parts of the body serving as a hook: the hind legs, front legs, a
nylon thread sewn to muzzle or skull, or a hook in the mouth.
It is on the whole east coast of the island of Reunion where dogs and
cats living serve as bait to catch sharks, barbaric acts severely
punished by law when the torturers are caught in flagrante delicto.
Reunion Island has about 150 000 dogs living alone, regular victims of
abuse and particularly cruel. And as if that were not enough, dogs are
used as live bait for shark fishing, diving hooks before launching into
the sea!
