MichaelJacksonFinalLR.jpg picture by mangoangel22

Painted by Bartoluciano in memory of MJ's genius.  Prints of all sizes are available and a portion of proceeds from sales will go to Michael's children. Drop Barto an email for details.

Also, here is Barto's first song inspired by MJ's lyrics to "Childhood".

(THIS POEM IS ALSO POSTED BELOW IN THE COMMENTS ON PAGE 1.
PLEASE CLICK REPLY & LEAVE BARTO SOME LOVE!)

Come Out And Play

Can you come out and play?
Dance with me in childhood memories
Looking inside as we look around
Finding ourselves in grown up lost and found
No one will understand us
But that is the cost of unconditional love
Smiles that refuse to turn down
Most won't dare what we dream of

People will laugh at our ways
How we could sing everyday,
It's our choice to compensate,
For the easiest things
They could never give away.

Can you come out and play?
Dance with me in childhood memories,
Children running wild and free,
Princes of destiny, Princesses of mystery.

Before you judge, look not down but above,
Look deep inside and ask,
What was it again God's whispered task?

Will you come out and play?
Or will you hide your childhood away?
Can you love such simple things,
Let hope and faith color everything?

Come out and play,
Sing and dance a minute or two,
Find the simplest joys of youth,
When we try, we can fly,
Play and dance across the sky.

Before you judge, look deep inside and ask,
What was it again God's whispered task?

Can you come out and play?

WORDS FROM MR. GREEN:

So I've been asked to write a bio about myself for this event..frankly, if you asked me the definition of a "bio", I would probably look you in the face with a blank and distant stare..But I got a general idea, without the technicalities..of what a bio looks like.

For example:

THERE'S YOUR BASIC QUESTIONS:

1. Who are you?

I guess you can call me a flag bearer...holding my kite just above the local power lines...a source for a spark that you cannot see or taste...only feel, and what a jolt it can be...
but I guess that may be a little more abstract than what you're used to...so I guess you can call me
mr. green the unanswered (and still standing) poet...

2. Where are you from?

Well, there's four points at the center of everything...pick a pole and throw my words in that direction..chances are they'll adapt and find an excellent resting place at some local bar, or random strip club...no I’m teasing, the right and "ornery" places that is...Florida, Kentucky, Iowa..no wait stop that, reverse..in that order..but who's giving them and are they the right ones?

THEN YOU DELVE A SMIDGE DEEPER INTO THE PERSONA:

3. What are your hobbies?

I like sports..particularly the ones that involve head games...specifically basketball of course..but I prefer skating over top a freshly paved parking lot...no tricks, just kick..kick..kick..push..and COAST....and away my mind went there...speaking of which, I like to lose myself in dribblish hoop dreams and playing the role of a shark at your nearest pool hall...the kid got skills...and speaking of skills, wait 'til you see me on the dance floor ladies,(sorry to add that cheesy line in there btw, but it had to be done and you know it)...

AND SUDDENLY, WE'RE ALL WONDERING, WHO'S YOUR FAVORTIE WRITERS/BIGGEST GENERAL INFLUENCES?

4. I like to read Frank Miller alone in the dark..the dark is my mistress and I am her Spirit.
(Copyright Frank Miller/Mr. Green)

I've recently delved into Bukowski and am loving him..he reminds me of an older Jeff Sibley..and if you don't know who that is, please educate yourself and search him out..I give no clues..I am selfish...Also, the decadence of a future society gone wrong amid the cusp of the 80's called 1984
(Copyright George Orwell/Mr. Green)

is an all-time favorite and kept me from going insane when I was locked up, which every now and again seems to be a hobby as well...for the record, I will say this:

I like Allan Moore, Edgar Allen Poe, Hunter S. Thompson, and Allen Ginsberg...

THEN THERE'S THE VERY UNDERUSED, SURPRISE QUESTION:

5. (THIS ONES A DOOSY)

What.......did Michael Jackson mean to you?
......

In all seriousness, before this very moment I didn't realize how much of an influence you were on me growing up, and I can’t even imagine the magnitude what you will mean to not only mine, but everyone else's future..You may be gone and past, and you deserved that peace brother..but your music will live way past my days on this planet..You were an inspiration to little kids like me, as we put on our fuzziest pair of socks and slid across the kitchen floor doing the moonwalk, not quite as you, but still good enough to make us practice and become a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor them damn selves..I will miss you Michael, and this is but a small, shrivel of a tribute that we as a planet... can show to you...I hope you found that peace and are still making music....somewhere...

FEATURED POEM #1:

INSPIRED BY MICHAEL JACKSON'S:
“Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough”

FEVER...FELT BETWEEN YOU AND I....

by mr. green

The mercury dial has exploded,
releasing force..that dwells..
between us two.
Never ceasing the rising fever,
and susceptible to the unspoken
questions that swell...

A tumultuous whirlwind
that leaves us unsated and
begging for a further sweeping lust..
Both telling the other,
"Don't stop 'til you get enough."
A gust of Heaven's breath
that offers little to no comparison
of yours...
heavy and ever steady...

Hour glass images with her,
amid the electric lights
that spell DESIRE inside her prism.
Finding my own gaze with that dimming sparkle.
We clasp..tightly, to that televised moment.

Shooting pains that once played streaming stars.
They stir at my formless extremities.
And still you move effortless,
forbidding the enemies' advances
and conquering my all
with swaying feet...

Michael Jackson God’s Special Angel

It seems to me that it’s apparent in the World today
When warm spring weather arrives Angels fly high
That we are sent a gift from heavens above you Michael
God’s Special Angels that thrive within your heart

He blesses us with spring blooms of new life your voice
And oh, how we’re ready to see the sunshine in heaven
The colors and fragrances of flowers so sweet innocent
Designed by God for you and me the children of today

He knows how much we appreciate the King of Pop
The work that He has gone through for all us to enjoy
I’m sure he labored long and hard just like perfection
For perfect colors so fresh and true Michael its you

The Iris, with its unique little beard its beauty like your soul
That fits in with every scene of our eyes just like a child
Colors so brilliant and so charming its amazing a genious
Like a lovely precious dream but so real the King of Pop

Lilies pop out for everyone to enjoy smelling so lovely heaven
The Pinks with their amazing designs thats Gods work oh my
And a fragrance beyond any ones imagination Gods work
Promising sweet and cheerful times for all to enjoy forever

I do think that God created Child of Peace you Michael J
Flowers to beautify our days till we leave this place to heaven
And since we’re so very appreciative of the gift but now gone
We might thank Him when we pray to the heavens above

And God sent these Special Angels one Michael Jackson
Down from heaven with His love to share with the world
To the Angels on the ground thanks for this Child of Love
So that all mankind will know God's got him now in heaven

Much Respect and Love

What a beautiful wonder idea! I'm honored to have my new painting featured and write in dedication to the King of Pop. No matter what you think of his life, his music and spirit of song will never be equaled. As many true angels, he was most often misunderstood in life. But his intentions can never be misunderstood. In memory of his genius, I've painted this portrait. Prints of all sizes are available and a portion of proceeds from sales will go to Michael's children. Drop me an email for details.
And here is my first song inspired by his "Childhood". I hope you enjoy. And I look forward to reading everyone else's genius on here too : )

Come Out And Play

Can you come out and play?
Dance with me in childhood memories
Looking inside as we look around
Finding ourselves in grown up lost and found
No one will understand us
But that is the cost of unconditional love
Smiles that refuse to turn down
Most won't dare what we dream of

People will laugh at our ways
How we could sing everyday,
It's our choice to compensate,
For the easiest things
They could never give away.

Can you come out and play?
Dance with me in childhood memories,
Children running wild and free,
Princes of destiny, Princesses of mystery.

Before you judge, look not down but above,
Look deep inside and ask,
What was it again God's whispered task?

Will you come out and play?
Or will you hide your childhood away?
Can you love such simple things,
Let hope and faith color everything?

Come out and play,
Sing and dance a minute or two,
Find the simplest joys of youth,
When we try, we can fly,
Play and dance across the sky.

Before you judge, look deep inside and ask,
What was it again God's whispered task?

Can you come out and play?

FEATURED POEM #2:

INSPIRED BY MICHAEL JACKSON'S:
“Rock With You”

glitterfy-flpbk2602481396823634.gif Remember Michael Jackson always and forever image by FelitaLester

ROCKSTEADY

by mr. green

Operatic incantations of rhythmic vibes.
They gather alongside
and "Rock with you."
reaping the all that you sew.
The fancy Motown jingles
that we share on a cool summer night's ride
passing the sun signs on the highway behind...

We collect floor tiles,
arranging them as chords and
melodies inside our distorted memories..
Only to pace the empty cracks we missed
and laugh at their obscurity...

Matters of the heart,
eloquently paged on the score
and crescendo notes we use
to elevate our spirits
and lower the bass of crowding sneers...

Futuristic notes first heard on 60's LPS...
and record booths galore...
That's where we hear each other's intentions.
Recorded on the B Sides..
of an album that rocked steady
and only asked we let them join in...

 Michael  Michael your  mission here,
 has  been completed
history will place you among the legends
your name writing in stars ,

never can say good-by with a child's heart,
your name will endure the test of time,
cause we all know legends never die,
as you are looking through the window,

down here at us i hope you feel the love,
that you left among us,
in all your  glory you really tried
to heal the world,

truth be told  an angel ,
did dwell among us ,
in human form,
you danced along,

touching so many souls,
your voice will always be heard,
you made a change  from,
the man in the mirror,

 to a stranger in Moscow
the 8th wonder of the world,
is watching you perform,
such syncopation,

dedication in  perfection  ,
you never short change,
musicological will be your  claim,
bright lights held your fame

as i envision you in song and dance,
up in heaven doing your thang,
as you and i both know,
the show must go-------on,,peace wizthom

xscape

i couldn't find peace of mind,
every where i went press ,
dogging me around,
i had to xscape,

i grew tire of being the butt of jokes,
all i ever wanted to do,
was give the world love and  hope,
i couldn't sleep they kept on  hounding me,

wouldn't  give me room to breathe,
always pestering me,about this and that,
throwing dem daggers  in my back,
for goodness sake i had to xscape

too late heaven can wait,
till  i get to the pearly gates,
as i take  to the stage,
one last time ,

do my dance sing my  song,
for all concern i was meant
to do this from the moment i was  born
i gotta escape before it's  too late,

i succeeded i came back,
on top of the  charts,
i'm the star in all hearts,
peculiarities notarizes all my vulnerabilities,

i'm bad ,i'm bad  damn lets jam,
the worlds knows me for song and dance
hot damn fans stalking,as i'm moon walking
peace wizthom@09

dear god we've had enough,
of the killing fields ,
pills that takes away how we feel,
pain corruption lieing cheating,

one thing i know,
the world is so cold,
injustice poverty,
the mighty stealing ,
from the weak,

we've had enough,
we need not see no more,
of the  night chipping  away at the day,
crime desperation hopelessness  taking over faith,

oooo the  sun is growing dimer ,
the people are laying down ,
giving up on the the cross road,
we've had enough,

can't trust our leaders ,
can't turn to our preacher,
who's gonna save us,
from the road paved ,

with well meaning intentions
but no direction ,
stones of ifs and buts,
we've had enough.

where is the love,
what has hate done,
why are we the lost ones,
oooo we've had enough

i see the light shinning bright,
i feel my  spirit  as it takes flight,
i know if i go every thing will be alright,

we had enough of pain and hurt,
must be a better place for me,
farewell no-more watching the world,
go to hell,

we've had enough,,gotta go,
haven't can't wait,,peace wizthom@09

when i read this piece, i was reminded of how MJ attempted to curve our seemingly easy revolvement(not sure if that;s a word, but it is now COPYRIGHT Mr. Green) towards the negative in life, whether it be crime, bankruptcy, murder..what have you..i'm reminded that Michael tried his best to lean away from this part of life and more towwards the time when he was a kid, a place where he could always keep the "Childhood" he never had..great write witzhom...
