Hello friends. It's been a while since our last update, so let me fill you in on what's been going on in Shining TV Screen land.

Firstly, I (Adam) have returned from London and have officially resumed my duties as bass player extraordinare. Some say that the good looks of our band have increased up to as much as 50% since my return as well. I'm very excited to be back and I can't wait to see all of you at our upcoming shows.

On Friday night we played my welcome back show at the Blinkin Lincoln in Manayunk/Roxborough/Phil's birthplace. Thanks to all of our fans and friends (even those we didn't get to meet) who came out. We had a really good time playing with our friends in The Quelle Source, and we'd like to sincerely thank them for lending us their guitars when Phil and Scott broke strings in back-to-back songs. Opening up for us was another Philly band called The Goodnight Lights, who were quite fantastic. You should definitely give them a listen. Our setlist looked something like this:

Saturday Fire
Vision
Improv. Jam
ZOO
Improv Jam
Bomb Shelter
Swimming
Rubik's Cube
The Captive
Sea of Flags ->
Pink
Hands ->
Witches ->
Sirens

So as you can see, we're working in a lot of newer material while simultaneously culling a few of our older and less cohesive songs. Your little Shining TV Screen is growing up. So sad!

Finally, we're playing at a new music showcase at the Northstar Bar on June 2nd and we have to sell tickets ahead of time. So if you'd like to come, PLEASE email shiningtvscreen@gmail.com and let us know how many tickets you want. They're only $5 a pop and you'll get to see FIVE up-and-coming Philly bands. That's $1 per band, so even if we all suck you'll still have enough money to drink until we sound good.

I'll leave you with a quote from our illustrious and praiseworthy guitarist, Phil DiWilliams: "I've always been this weird, it's just that I've gotten better looking as I've gotten older so it's okay now."
