Who Gives Kudos:

April 9, 2008 - Wednesday

Current mood:  busy
-I guess everyone’s had a chance to listen to our new recordings. We did them this past Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Pirahna Studios. We had a blast recording them for you guys. I don’t think things could’ve gone any smoother. Dave is the man! Hella good producer. He wasn’t at all a nazi. His equipment is top notch. He was very helpful and professional. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We’ll give him a good reference any day!
So whadja think? Leave us a comment on the bandsite. We Love ’em; good or bad!

-Well, Concrete Cradle is performing at the TAO/Black Diamond "Don’t Quit Your Dayjob Show" on Saturday April 25 in Marion, IL at the Harley Dealership.Go see them. It’s 100% FREE and they serve FREE Barbecue! GO!!

-I haven’t heard much back regarding our last BLOG entry about arts in competition. Take a quick skim over it and let me know what you think.
-MAJOR VENUE Possibility. I’m checking into getting the Williamson County Pavillion for a Summer Date. I called yesterday and the rent runs $2600 for a 24 hour period. That is complete with set-up, clean-up, PA, and the whole works. Shitty thing is, none of us independently can afford it. The Williamson County Tourism board has a list of POSSIBLE sponsors. They said that Miller (beer) usually gives about $500 if they can set up too. Maybe there are more people around; businesses and such, music stores, etc.
If that doesn’t go through, you can pretty well bet that I’ll be booking the Civic Center for a Summer date. We’ll need about 10 bands to play, bring ten people who will pay $5 for a day’s ticket. I’m sure we can all swing that.
-Aside from that, not much is happening. That’s a lot though. I’m pretty excited about what the coming months have to bring. It’s just gonna be a hell of a lot of work. Wish me luck!

The Pavillion sounds like it would be great! Maybe you should start talking to a few of the bands that are playing at Black Diamond about pooling resources. More people = more idea's.
