Supporting local music(and some friends) I went to the most recent Jinosa show at the Hawthorne. They were playing with some Westview Alumni in From The King's Grave. This show was a little different than my usual set up. Cole and I didn't have a ride so Raul got us some help from members of the band. We went to Kameron's house and hung out for a while before leaving to the Hawthorne. We had lunch and waited around for a while. After a few hours of waiting we went outside in the 40 degree weather to wait to get back in. From The King's Grave played first. They had some pretty fun pits. During the first song I got head butted in the nose. But anyway, they were really good. They are strongly influenced by Whitechapel. They also like bands such as Born of Osiris. They play some pretty heavy stuff. Towards the end of their show, my American Studies teacher, Mrs. Schuff showed up to support Jinosa. I found this very strange. But, none-the-less, I had lots of fun during Jinosa! They also had really good pits(when there were pits). They had a longer set than the first time I saw them. At one point, they sang Happy Birthday to Cody. They then turned the song into a screamo version. I found this funny. After their set was done they started to pack up their stuff and the Parismony Effect began playing. Most of the people there cleared out. Most of them went for Jinosa. The Parismony Effect was really not that good. They have god instrumentals, but their vocalist needs some improvement. We all left in the middle of their set. We went to the Roxy and had some food. We told some funny stories and jokes and Cole ate some gross stuff and it was a real blast.
