Current mood:  ninja
Team Plow hauled ass up North last Saturday tea-time to spread some happiness in the Steel City.

Roadworks on the M1 and abject sat-nav failure (around Sheffield's inner ring road) made us a little late arriving, but not so as to inconvenience anyone too much. It got worse though - after a soundcheck and some grub across the road from The Shakespeare, home of the Whippoorwll roots night, we found that the front passenger window of The Apostle John Alexander's car had been smashed! Nothing taken, just a fricking mess made ....

Fortunately, after a deal of wrangling with police, insurance, glass repairers and recovery companies - the boy Alexander was able to get a glass van-man to come out and fix the window,  whilst blues butchers The 44s opened the show in fine style to a good appreciative crowd. Result.

The it was time for Team Plow to kick it - or limp it, considering Crusher's poorly foot and Plow's faltering vocals, post man flu.

Anyway we stood/sat and delivered, and did okay. We played ....

Bahadur Singh, This is Trouble, About A Car, Beautiful Bride, Poor John Alexander, This Train, Lullaby #2, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Parkview, Before The Flood, Dying Sinner's Final Sin, Mary Maragaret, Sarah Elizabeth Bell, Pharmaceutical Smile, Sixteen Tons.

Despite the chaos and woe, we had a good time, and a much needed uneventful journey home. The Whippoorwill folks and the crowd were most kind, and hopefully we'll see them again sometime soon.
