Thank you for the update. Please help me out here, if they won't honor the old and you guys are already sold out, then how does that help me. can i purchase directly from angele@troubadour.com with proof of prior purchase? Please help me out here or anyone else who is in the same predicament.

I got tickets from Ticketmaster's scalping agency (TicketsNow) for three times face value. I figured the troubadour would be a great place to see Animal Collective and it was worth the extra money to me--despite the slight pangs of guilt I felt for supporting such corruption. Well, as we know, the show was cancelled and the tickets became will-call only--my tickets were e-tickets with another's name on it. Well, at the time this show was to take place, TicketsNow was selling them for 10 times face value. They obviously realized how much these tickets were worth, and after the new date was set, they contacted me to inform me that my tickets were no longer going to be valid. Anyways, I'm a little disapointed, but I saw AC in Oct. 08 in Berlin which was amazing. I just thought I'd tell a little narrative, insert my experience into the discourse and hopefully help chip away at the legitimization of Ticketmaster's monopoly of something as important as the distribution and commercialization of artistic voice.

 

Friends-- Tickets Now and Stub Hub will give you refunds for your tickets--just contact them. We are ALSO trying to honor the tickets bought from after-market resellers so please contact me (angele@troubadour.com) and I can help you repurchase. Lastly, we have had information on the situation of the this show and the need for repurchasing posted on our website since the new date was rescheduled and we are trying to get this wrapped up by the end of the week--so please contact me ASAP if you're still in limbo.
