Current mood:  accomplished
I had an amazing experience last night at The World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. I had the opportunity to share the stage with Jake Snider, who is an 18 year old songwriting prodigy. Between him and his band, they were able to play a set that flowed perfectly from top to bottom. It was remarkable to see such opportunity at work. Congratulations to Jake.

Following Jake was Jonah Delso. With the buzz of the Coldplay contest still circling around him, Jonah humbly took the stage and began his set with a quiet song on the ukulele (which he lost later that night). He then moved into an amazing array of fun, pop/funk tunes featuring some of his best friends from his hometown. I had the pleasure of playing keyboards on two of his songs, although i did forget some of the chords. Jonah's gritty, versatile singing style really grabbed the attention of the entire room. With songs like "Heavy on the Heart", "Knuckles Bleed", and "The Drinkers Anthem", Jonah and his band left the crowd feeling happy and energetic. Thank you Jonah for a great set!

With the news of our first ever sold out show, I took the stage in a state of euphoria. I looked around at my bandmates, and saw 4 of my very best friends in the world ready to play some rock and roll music. From the first note of the show to the last, I truly had a remarkable time. I want to thank anybody and everybody who came out to the show to see it. Hopefully, this won't be the last time I play for a "Sold Out" audience. For now, I will just sit here on my blog and reflect on an amazing night of music. In the midst of a "bad economy" in which we are all taught to be frightened and "realistic", a crowd of 200 plus people came out to drink and have a memorable night before a holiday. I am just so happy to have been a part of it. thank you all!
