Another gem from the mailbox -------
"Hey, I am sure many people have asked you this but I was just wondering if you ever did any pro-bono tattoos or had an apprentice that was looking for someone to work on. I'm 24 years old, and don't have alot of cash. A few years ago I did some "jailhouse" tattoos with indian ink, and its very difficult trying to find a job once someone sees my arms. Basically I only have one nice tattoo on my left arm. I can understand if you cant, but it doesnt hurt to try, right? Thank you."
To which I replied:
"Any tattoo that you get from anyone for free will look just like the jailhouse stuff you already have on your arm, and that isn't going to help your situation any.
We provide a very professional service, and we charge very reasonable rates for our work. Save your money and get it done right. Call us when you are ready."
I could have gone on and on berating this person, but it really isn't necessary. This is a person who has made some bad tattoo decisions in the past, and if they insist on just looking for the "FREE TATTOO" they are going to get exactly what they pay for and end up even worse off than they are now. I hope that a little education will go a long way and that we will see them in our shop in the coming months or years if that's what it takes.
