Hola Compañer@s,

This is a call to those in resistance, especially
the Youth:
We are organizing in solidarity with the Zapatista
Movement and their
“Other Campaign.” The idea is to have events
throughout the US (but not
limited to) on the same date.

The proposed date is Saturday April 22nd, 2006,
during this time the
“Other Campaign” tour will be in Mexico City. With
this date we should
have enough time to work on our own events in our
respective communities.
There is space for different ideas and proposals,
just make sure to
integrate the work load and short time we have.

The principle objectives of this event are to:
*Raise funds for projects in Zapatista Communities
*Raise consciousness surrounding the “Other
Campaign” in Mexico
* As always remembering the struggles in our
communities here in the US

The funds will be brought together and distributed
among three projects:
Education, Health, and the Chiapas Media Project/
Promedios
(www.promedios.org)
The transfer of funds will be done via the
CMP/Promedios nonprofit,
bi-national organization.

Everyone interested is invited to participate and
organize! While the
event will be intergenerational, there should be
an effort in bringing youth to
organize and participate.

Esto es una llamada a todos los jóvenes en
resistencia:

Vamos organizando en solidaridad con el movimiento
Zapatista y su "Orta
Campaña." La Idea es de tener eventos en diferentes
ciudades y
comunidades en los EEUU pero en la misma fecha.

La fecha que esta en propuesta es el sábado 22 de
abril, 2006. En esta
fecha la gira Zapatista estará en el Estado de
México y el Distrito
Federal. Con esta fecha nos da suficiente tiempo
para organizar los
eventos en nuestras respectivas comunidades, es decir
que hay espacio para
diferentes ideas y propuestas, recordando que
tenemos poco tiempo y mucho
trabajo.

Ahora los objetivos principales será para
*Recaudar fondos para las comunidades Zapatistas,
*Crear conciencia sobre "La Orta Campaña" en México
*y como siempre, no olvidar la lucha local en
nuestras comunidades.

Los fondos serán acumulados y distribuidos entre
tres proyectos;
Educación, Salud y medios de Comunicación
Comunitaria
(www.promedios.org). El transfer de dinero será por
medio de una ONG
binacional.

Invitamos a tod@s interesad@s para participar y
organizarse en sus
comunidades. Claro el evento será para todas
generaciones pero hay que
tratar de traer a la juventud para participar
e ir contruyendo nuestra propia historia y lo mas
importante para organizarnos.
