Concluding the Lucifer Devil Myth.....

The words 'devil, satan & angel' never occur in Isaiah 14. This is the only place where the word 'Lucifer' is used in the KJV. There's a good reason why the King of Babylon's described as this 'morning star' or 'Venus.' The Babylonians believed that their king was the child of their gods Bel & Ishtar, both of whom were associated with the planets, they thought that their king was the planet Venus. It may come as a surprise to many Christians that to the Jews & Early Believers, there was no such person as Lucifer, how could this be?

If the whole context were read, (which begins in chapter 13) we'd see that a little over half of Isaiah 14 is a word against Babylon's king, with no indication that this target ever changes. So where do Christians get the idea that at verse 12, the subject switches from the king of Babylon to the devil & then goes back to a word against Babylon & the other countries in the region, once again 'Christian doctrine' has been busted... again!

I think people get the idea that this 'lucifer' was the devil's original name or his description comes from a passage in Revelation: Now war arose in Heaven, Michael & his angels fighting against the dragon. The dragon & his angels fought back, but he was defeated & there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who's called the devil & satan, the deceiver of the whole world, he was thrown down to the earth & his angels were thrown down with him. The Revelation of YAHUSHUA haMashiach 12:7-9

This was prophesied by John, it wouldn't make sense having Isaiah speak of it as a past event. Also, when we put aside the question of what YHWH's opponent should be called, the fact remains that the story of a rebellious angel who fell because of pride isn't in Scripture. Some claim that the fallen satan is present from the very beginning, even though his name doesn't appear in Genesis. Paul, according to translation, suggested that the serpent was named satan, the implication being that he tempted Adam. Yet most of the early Believers thought that the devil fell after Adam. It took them over 200 years to establish that his sin was pride & that he fell before the creation of man & that he was the serpent that tempted Adam & Eve.

There's no evidence that Isaiah's speaking about anything that happened in the garden of Eden; plus, why wait 3,000 years before saying anything & right in the middle of a word against Babylon & its king?

'How did you come to fall from the heavens, daystar, son of the dawn?' (Isaiah 14:12). Some Bibles, like the KJV, use the word 'lucifer' then add a capital 'L' to make it a name. The literal Hebrew is 'a shining one.' The morning star, or daystar was a symbol of Babylonian power. This was identified with astrolatry (star worship) as well. The word 'lucifer' is another one of those unfortunate uses of medieval Latin originating out of the KJV to become a name for satan (which it's not) whose fall was supposed to be shadowed in this context. This is very similar to the misconceptions found through the misunderstandings & translations of 'the King of Tyre' (Ezekiel 28) Which is explained in my previous blog series.

'Fallen from heaven.' No one could suggest that the king of Babylon literally fell out of Heaven! 'Heaven' sometimes means a ruling authority (government) & 'earth' its subjects, according to Scripture. So to 'fall from heaven' is to lose the position of authority. Isaiah's prophecy had a literal fulfillment in the life of Nebuchadnezzar! The context begins in verse 4 where YHWH told Isaiah to: Take up this parable against the King of Babylon & say, 'How has the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased!'" This king abided over a 'golden city' but the devil's of a kingdom of spiritual darkness (Ephesians 6:12).

The king's described as being 'covered in worms, he's to rot in the grave': Your pomp is brought down to the grave & the worms cover you (vs11). This isn't the devil demise & seeing angels can't die, lucifer can't be an angel, this is speaking to a man!

Vs 12 says that the king was to be 'cut down to the ground' - therefore this parable was implying he was a tree. This connects with Daniel 4:8-16, where Nebuchadnezzar & Babylon are likened to a tree being cut down.

Some false teachers of the lucifer devil myth point to Isaiah 14:13-14: You said in your heart, 'I'll ascend to Heaven; I'll raise my throne above the stars of YHWH; I'll sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I'll ascend above the tops of the clouds; I'll make myself like the MOST HIGH.'

They'd suggest that this is referencing the devil since these ambitions exceed the reach of any human ruler. But of course it exceeds the reach of him also. Further delusions of grandeur are not uncommon in earthly rulers & those that are farther away from YHWH are more likely to think they have god-like power (like the Pharaohs). Especially when you consider how distorted their view of YHWH was.

Albert Barnes' commentary explains that YHWH’s wrath was kindled against the king because the ruler 'intended not to acknowledge any superior either in Heaven or Earth, but designed that himself & his laws should be regarded as supreme.'

Besides, why's the devil punished for saying, 'I'll ascend into Heaven' (vs 13), if he was already there? hmmmmm

The 'stars of YHWH' can refer to the leaders of Israel (Genesis 37:9; Joel 3:15; Daniel 8:10), above whom the King of Babylon wished to arise.

How could the devil 'weaken the nations' & 'be cut down to the ground?' Wouldn't he have much less power over anyone after being 'cut down to the ground?'

King 'Neb' wanted to have control of Jerusalem, but in verse 15, he's told he'd be 'brought down to the grave, to the sides of the pit.' He'd be buried, so that he wouldn't continue troubling the nations. It goes on to say: 'Is this THE MAN that made the earth to tremble?' The king's to be mocked by men because he no longer has any power after his casting out of heaven (governmental authority); so there's no justification for thinking that he's now on earth leading believers astray.

Verses 18-20 tells of his end & compares it with the other kings of the nations who were laid down in the grave in glory. Then, still dealing with this 'so called Lucifer Devil.' verse 21 says, 'prepare slaughter for his children.' We know of course, that celestial angels don't have offspring!

Verses 17 & 21 accuses the king of making the 'world as a wilderness, (destroying) the cities; who didn't loose his prisoners to their home & filled the face of the world with cities...the exactress of gold.' These are all descriptions of Babylonian military policy razing whole areas to the ground, transporting captives to other areas & not letting them return to their homeland (as they did to Israel), building new cities & taking tribute of gold from nations they oppressed.

NOTE: This could also be a prophecy that will occur again with another king of Babylon as well. Check this description out....

Because of this 'he was driven from men & ate grass as oxen & his body was wet with the dew of Heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers & his nails like birds' claws' (Daniel 4:33). This sudden humbling of a world leader to a deranged lunatic was such a dramatic event as to call for the parable about the falling of the morning star from heaven to earth. This was Nebuchadnezzar obviously, but it also described another king of Babylon, you guessed it; Saddam Hussein! This describes the state he was in when US troops found him in a hole a couple years ago. Remember, ancient Babylon is today's Iraq!

Assuming this 'morning star' is the devil is absurd, here are 3 passages where 'morning star' or 'daystar' is mentioned:

So we have the prophetic message more fully confirmed. You'll do well to be attentive to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns & the morning star rises in your hearts. - 2 Peter 1:19

(To the one who conquers), I'll also give the morning star. - Revelation 2:28

It is I, YAHUSHUA, who sent MY angel to you with this testimony for the assemblies. I'm the root & the descendant of David, the bright morning star. - Revelation 22:16

All 3 references to the 'morning star' point to YAHUSHUA or things HE gives, authority related. In the Vulgate, the word 'morning star' in 2Peter is even translated 'Lucifer.'

From this, some have twisted this as well & started other religions, such as (Mormons) Latter Day Saints saying that the MESSIAH is the devil's brother, how ignorant & blasphemous this is!

I've also seen people use this Scripture to justify the myth of the Lucifer Devil: The 72 returned with joy, saying, 'MASTER, even the devils are subject to us in YOUR name!' And YAHUSHUA said to them, 'I saw satan fall like lightning from Heaven.' - Luke 10:17-18

Not going there, this is just taken flat out of context. No wonder why Babylon means 'confusion' & why we are told to come out of it!It's been proven that Isiaiah was speaking of King Nebuchadnezzar, not the devil! Funny how you can find the truth just by studying.... Next time, I'll explain what I mean about all this 'Christian Devil Worship' I've been hinting about the past couple blogs & how most people are involved without even realizing it.

Was just thinking, it's something how devil-worshippers worship a devil they think is named 'Lucifer,' it's kinda like Christians worshipping an Elohim they think is named 'God or Yahweh' & serving a Messiah named 'Jesus.' One more time, a devil is & was not named 'Lucifer' & the Most High & His Son aren't named 'Yahweh, God, Lord, Jesus, Yeshua, etc.,' it's only YaHuWaH & YAHUSHUA! The Bible would be so much easier to understand with His true Spirit. I have more than enough proof on this as well if anyone would like me to send it to them.... blessings!

Wow!!! Yahuah truely does lead us into ALL truth!! HalleleYAH!!!

I knew that we have been deceived for years, yet I did not know the extent of it. I still have much to unlearn, and much truth to learn as Yahuah reveal these things to me.

One thing that ALWAYS troubled me with the "myth" of the "fall of Lucifer", was; If he fell in that way, would we not also be in such position to fall? It never made since to me! When Yahuah creates, He creates in perfection, He would not create an imperfect messenger......ALL works according to HIS PLAN.....and Praise Yah, that His truth is and will continue to be revealed to those who seek Him and stay in Him and to all who are His! Amen!!

Thank you brother for sharing this revealation!!

Shalom, Gale

I am so glad that someone is telling the truth about it.  I have known this for a while and a lot Christians trust whatever they hear from their Pastor's.  You have to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you.  Thank you Brother for giving the truth.

Jaden Angel

My favorite one thus far. And I..ld like to touch on it if you will. But you are so close that I can fel your angelic presence. Now after years of researching online as well as in both the Living bible as well as the KJV. 16 hrs a day, 7 days a week for several years has allowed me the free time and access that most others don..t have. And my most prized asset has been my computer and access to the world of the Internet. And the bible I..ve found through research and studies is more amazing than people realize. But it..s a "hidden mystery" still. Now I first want to quote a verse from th KJV and go from there as we further pursue this subject. Matthew 20:16 "And the first shall be the last, and the last first. For many shall be called, but few chosen" Those last few words caught my eye, and I..ll explain why."...few chosen", as I like to recognize it as the "Chosen Few". The reason why that caught my eye, I..ll explain another time. But it results in this; I..ve been recognizing them all over, and just came across yt another. YOU. YOU my friend are amongst the Chosen Few, you were chosen. Glad to meet you my friend.
