AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
Trying to record metal in Latakia City, Syria... Is similar to... trying to shoot an airplane down with a hand gun... or building a tourist resort in the north pole... or a skiing one in nigeria.
The shit that we go through in every single fucking day is untolerable. Just pick any event in any given day in the last month and a half, and any other metal band would just call it quits. I cant tell you how many times me and Ali have thought about just dumping the whole thing into trash, and moving on in our daily lives. But hell no, we aint gonna do that, I'm writing this after 8-fucking-hours of continous vocals recording, between electricity cuts (where we'd have to redo some whole-parts) and my poor PC failing due to the damages from those cuts, not to forget our really special microphone stand, where we used a metal ladder (yes, a metal ladder) to hold the mic on, because our dear equipment provider has loaned all of his mic stands to one of his friends who's having a trance party!!! That's just to give you a nice sample on one of our days throughout the recording.
Oh and not to forget, less than a week ago, amer and ziad called it a day on this project, leaving us with half finished guitar and totally unreleasable bass- not to mention an unstarted third song. but we are managing still, and we have fixed the shit together so that it can be tolerable.
Okay, rant over now. But guess what, even with all this shit, we still promise you a cracking new demo!
Stay alive
