This past weekend, ten teams from around the Midwest gathered in St. Paul, Minnesota at the WFTDA North Central Regional Championships.
Among them, were Milwaukee’s very own Brewcity Bruisers All-Stars.
The All-Stars had an amazing showing at the tournament winning two of their three bouts. Including their last bout of the tournament, an epic re-match against the Burning River Roller Girls of Cleveland, Ohio.
The BCB All-Stars previously went up against Burning River at the East Coast Extravaganza in Philadelphia earlier in the season where the BCB won 119 to 114. In last Saturday’s match up Burning River was looking for some revenge and for the majority of the bout it looked like they might get it with the BCB behind until the last few minutes, they had slowly closed the gap and in the very last jam of the bout your BCB turned on all the burners and tied it up at the buzzer 109 to 109.
In the final overtime jam, which included an amazing star pass and a score of 126 to 116, the BCB claimed the victory and the 7th seat in the WFTDA North Central Region.
