The reason for this page is to honor, give tribute, remember and commemorate those who continue to give through their love and lives.

It is inspired by those that have passed: my father, Harry ("Dreaming" was writ for him) Walter Bates (a gentleman in every sense - song coming) and the living: my wife Cymbric ("Lass with the Golden Hair" was writ for her).

The music here is free, to be downloaded to your system to enjoy. I retain copyright, but the hearing of the music is a gift, such as it is.

The idea for this came from the violinist Tasmin Little. See
http://www.tasminlittle.org.uk/free_cd/index.html

From the Wikipedia page on her "She currently has a cd of her recordings available for free on her website, as part of her, "Three Step Challenge." The gist is to encourage people to listen to classical music by giving some away. She asks that people listen to the piece more than once, then write her, letting her know if anything is still keeping them from enjoying classical music."

This is a bold and wonderful expression. In my own little corner of the world, I wanted to offer a like thing - an echo, if you will.
The idea sparked with the loss of a close relative's loss of her father. I wanted to create something to honor him and all those who give us so much with their live and love. So, Aloise, this is my way of saying "Thanks, with love" to you and your Dad.

Enjoy, Robin.
