I'm back at home now watching Top Gear in bed with a headache that I don't feel I really deserve. Maybe the sauna dehydrated me. I'm seriously thinking about getting a hot tub though - would that be ridiculous? The wedding was really nice - the food was great, the DJ suitably naff and the speeches suitably touching. It did get me down a bit how everyone else (apart from my friend Dan) seems to be pretty much grown up now, and I'm pretty much no further forward than I was 10 years ago. I spent about 90 minutes saying the same thing over and over again in a not particularly convincing local accent. The venue was absolutely amazing. I can just imagine them choosing it:
"Beautiful ruined priory: Check

View of the sea: Check

Lighthouses: Check

Massive gun: Check

yep seems to cover all the bases."
That's Dan by the way. My shoe shopping was fairly successful - the new ones are much better than the ones that I forgot. And, for now at least, much cleaner.
I found some other photos on my phone. Here's a baby bird that fell out of the tree into our office yard and couldn't fly out. It died in the end. I would've been upset but I've been hardened to the ways of mother nature since all the blue tit chicks in my nesting box died the other year.

Here is another pair of trainers tossed over a telephone line. I've found out who these ones belong to which has spoiled the mystery slightly, though nobody seems to know how they got there.

I'm off to London tomorrow for a few days to save travelling back and forth from here to Hyde Park to see Regina Spektor and Bon Iver. It should be really good.
