Having the night off and it's just the three of us...

Me, myself and I, that is.

I then had the urge to play some acoustic guitar, so I tuned that baby up, wondering what it was I actually wanted to play..

No agenda..

So I kind of made up a weird sounding open chord, and I thought the guitar might have slipped out of tune, but upon further review I was deffinately in tune..

So I tried that weird chord again, this time finger-picking a phrase which seem to fit nicely with a "D minor" so I started rolling with it till I found myself landing on that "D minor, not knowing what to do next.

I thought for a second that I lost the idea, then monents later I began to hum the phrase that I was playing on guitar..

A few more moments later I began finger picking that weird open chord and I found that phrase back.

I continued playing it and found myself singing over it with mumbled words.  Nothing that made any sense to me but to me the feeling felt so right...

So I figured I give a run at writing some lyric for it..

So I rested my guitar on my lap to use it as a writing surface like usual, and suddenly my diddie with the weird open chord and a "D minor" was gone!!

I was lost for words and melody was gone..

I tried humming again, but it was still gone..

I found the finger positioning of that weird open chord on the fret board but was not able to play it in the same manor. Not even close.

I don't want to force the issue, but I want that diddie back!

Where did it go?

'Guitar is right next to me.

To be continued...

Musically Yours..

can i relate...i've edited, re-edited, edited again, then some more...just trying to find that perfect wording...it'll come back...all good things do, perhaps a bit transformed, sometimes even better. keep listening to your soulshine, it is there tucked into what took you away from it to begin with...lovelight is never stopped.
