November 2, 2009 - Monday

Well, it was nice getting in that extra hour of sleep. Too bad we're gonna lose it again in a few months, but oh, well.

Sadly, part of my Halloween sucked. I had to spend over $500 to get a ball joint on my car fixed. Worse, I wanted to get my car washed and waxed before the snow started to fly... and it's gonna rain Monday and Wednesday. I even tried out a Mexican restaurant called "El Arrierio" or something like that and I didn't care about their burrito. As a matter of fact, I ended up with some slight indigestion because of it... probably the lettuce. The burrito itself had crap in there that I NEVER want to see in a burrito, like corn and peas. Next time, I'll just run across 28th St. and go to Qudoba if I'm desperate for a burrito. It's cheaper and their burritos taste a hell of a lot better.

I've lived here for seven years and sometimes, Grand Rapids seems to have a few overlooked spots. While I was walking around Saturday, I discovered that right next to Woodland Mall, out in the distance there was a Kohl's. It's on a driveway that I never, ever take, so when the Chuckmobile got fixed, I drove over there and checked it out. Nothing special.

For Halloween, I went to Mulligan's and hung out there for several hours. I didn't bring much cash - just enough for two Guinesses - and that was that. I didn't wear any special costume, either, even though I have an old werewolf mask lying around somewhere. If next Halloween's on a weekend day next year, I need to get more creative and dress up a little better. Maybe I need to bring more money, too, but thanks to the weak economy...

Sunday wasn't much of a day, unfortunately. I did sleep from roughly 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. minus an hour for some reason, so I slept for eight hours non-consecutively. I didn't do much that day, except get gas and quarters for the wash. TV-wise, I watched the Lions lose and some of the World Series. Otherwise, I just vegged out in front of the computer.

Anyway, I think next weekend, I'll FINALLY get my car washed/waxed for the winter, and I'll go to the Vu that weekend since the weekend after will be Hunter Widow Cockfest. Arrrgh! I don't hunt, so why should I be the one punished? Besides, I have to drive 100 miles round-trip to the Vu and here in Grand Rapids, there's a club that has male nude dancers Friday nights. I wish they'd get rid of the damn ordinance here in GR so I can save some precious gas money...

That's all for now. L8r,
-C.
