Live from the Wester Jubilee Warehouse Theater
Colorado Springs, CO
Saturday, August 15, 2009
hey everybody, i am thrilled to announce that i am making a new record,
yesterday, i confirmed a date at the historic
western jubilee warehouse theater in downtown colorado springs for a
live recording session this summer!
this stage has been graced by countless classic cowboy and old time musicians such as
norman and nancy blake, waddie mitchell, rich o'brien, don edwards, sons of the san joaquin, peter rowan, among many others... along with local favorite - and switzerland transplant-
malcolm lucard (who was the reason i found out about this theater...)
so mark your calendars, and tell aaaaalll your friends (really, all your friends), -
saturday, august 15th.
come be a part of the record! i will send more emails in the future
with details and information, but, i just wanted to start the buzz
early, and try and get as many folks to know about it as possible.
the recording will feature me on
guitar, mandolin, lap slide, banjo and vocals, my dad,
dave morrison, on guitar, and
andy cameron on fiddle, along with a few other
guests... we will be doing all my tunes, and possibly a traditional or two.
if you would like to
read more about the warehouse theater, and the western jubilee recording company, please take a look at this 1999
colorado springs independant article.
you will be able to get tickets in advance, from me, and a few places in town, or at the door. and here is the deal,
pay to get be at the show, and then get a record for free upon its release!! if you cannot come, i will be taking
pre-orders both online, and in purchase.
and of course, i will be accepting donations to help fund the record, if you are interested in
keeping local, independant arts alive and well...
i hope everyone is well. drop me a line sometime...
