So let me just start this blog out with me saying how stoked I am on what is coming out of New England area right now. New England is producing some of the most intelligent bands of this time. I am super stoked on The Effort and Verse. I've already blogged about The Effort, and hopefully i will get to the Verse Blog at some near future date. But I am so incredibly behind on everything in my life right now that it is hard to catch up. But I am going to fight my urge to go do something other than write this blog. God I am lazy.

Anyways I've been pretty stoked on Have Heart since I got a copy of their LP "The Things We Carry." That album has an incredible Bane feel to them. But now their new release "Songs To Scream At The Sun" is well ... I guess the only thing I can really say is "Amazing." I got a copy of it on my ipod about 2 weeks ago. The first time I listened the first few songs of the album on my quick 10 minute bike ride home from work. I hate that ride sometimes, i think its because I am totally out of shape but the song "Bostons" is one of the most motivational songs I have heard in awhile. Today I busted out their 7inch introducing some songs from the new LP. The 7inch is titled " You Can't Go Home Again."

I know its pretty much expected that a hardcore band would write songs about the hardships of life but I think this album throws down some real heart felt lyrics about more than your basic problems. It's about the hardships of growing up and taking care of your family. Lyrics about doing everything with your life that you can, and by trying to make your familys life better than what you have. From what I understand Partrick was trying to understand why his father is the way he is and what he did for his family. I personally think thats pretty Epic.

I really can't get enough of this band at this point. They keep putting out killer tunes, they are an amazing live show, and I think they leave you wanting more. So who knows what Have Heart will be doing in the future, but right now they are touring with Verse and killing it. I do look forward to the Pre-Order shipping to my house from Bridge Nine of the LP. And I also look forward to hearing what new songs they write in the future. To see pictures from the Show in Lawerence check out my bro's site www.artripoli.com
