"The Yearning"

Hoping thou will not condemn me
Yet the thoughts that our bond, which bloomed here
Needs nourishment, prods me to do this
I feel that it seemed miserably inadequate to achieve the desired end.

Our bond is like a plant that has newly sprung
On the ground from the seed that it was.
It thirsts for the tender touch of a gentle hand
The cool caress of the early morning breeze
The warm glow of the smiling sun
And the pitter-patter of the marching raindrops.

This is how I find myself with you now
Now that I will be missing you.
Our closeness, the most beautiful thing
That has ever happened.

Your frankness impressed me truly
As the mirror of your sincerity
Which reflects your so wonderful personality
It is revealing of a beauty inward and outward

It provides the opening through
Which your friends can peep
And catch a glimpse of the inner soul
Impressive of the sincerity of the character
Which radiates its hidden qualities

Devoid of brutality, smoothens the roughness
Which sometimes is depicting
Human relationships even among sisters
That is your virtue as a human being.

Once as the night was leaving
When our hearts were singing
With you, I was with...
What remains will be memories
Of joy and sorrow

I was sad and alone
Thinking so few cared for me
Then there was you
Now, hoping and praying
That we would not part ways

But will remain as we are, forever
Come what may.

Saying goodbye to someone
To Someone you have learned to love
So torturing and depressing
Tears fall from my eyes

But blissful emotions made together
Always in our hearts, will remain deep

So to all who will be missing Unni
Dismayed with goodbyes, you shouldn't
Say farewell, instead
For those who are truly bonded
Shall meet again.
