A MANHATTAN TALE: A Tale of Revenge

The latest single off the new Belladonna CD "The Noir Album" - "A Manhattan Tale" - has recently been added tp the playlists of two of Italy's biggest radio stations, Radio Rai 1 and Virgin Radio - with a grand total of over 10 million daily listeners between them - and we feel that the right thing to do is to now make it fully available in streaming here on MySpace for all Belladonna Friends & fans all over the world!!

A Tale of Revenge, "A Manhattan Tale" is a quintessential noir song, a short thriller story with a definite plot that develops to its surprise ending... but we'll add nothing more so not to spoil it for you! You'll find the full lyrics below!!...

And below you'll also find a short dark mystery strip created by Italian artist Marco Vignati and based on "A Manhattan Tale": we found it totally captured the vibe and feel of the key moments of the song's plot that we simply HAD to include it - with the artist's permission - on this Blog post for all of you to watch!!...
Marco Vignati can be contacted clicking here.

"A Manhattan Tale" is available now on our MySpace music player: play it at a neighbour-unfriendly volume, add it to your own profiles and don't forget to send in your comments!!...

Marco Vignati's strip based on "A Manhattan Tale"

A Manhattan Tale

He strolls through the SoHo crowd
She sits alone
He stares at the stormy clouds
She’ll soon be home

Manhattan is drenched in rain
And autumn leaves
He enters an empty train
And there she is

Whenever we feel our life is shattered
Whenever we see our light go down
Whatever we feel – It does not matter
Our time will come

He sits with the strange grimace
She’s seen before
He stares at her frozen face
And knows the score

Manhattan is drenched in tears
Of crimes unseen
She dreamed about this for years
And here he is

Whenever we feel our life is shattered
Whenever we see our light go down
Whatever we feel – It does not matter
Our time will come

Can you hear the sound of breaking hearts
As their destiny unfolds?
Can you heal a soul so torn apart?
She just pulls out her handgun – Karma is a blast of sudden sun

Whenever we feel our life is shattered
Whenever we see our light go down
Whatever we feel – It does not matter
Our time will come

Manhattan is drenched in pain
The sun will dry
She stares at the leaving train
And waves goodbye

This is a truly magnificent Noir rock song, and it really stands out ( for me) from the CD. It is getting the recognition it deserves on Italian radio and if I have my way will get the same here in the UK.
A load of rock Noir love to Luana Dani Alice Tam Alex for giving us the CD of 2009!
Rock on forever in Noir.

I offer up my thanks to all of you in beautiful Belladonna, ( Yeah I know, I just said beautiful beautiful woman, but such is life in the art of translation and names.) for allowing all of us the opportunity to add this awesome track to our players.  I know it will be a steady addition in my own personal music player for along time to come.  Keep up your aptitudes for artistic excellence my musical friends.
