Silver Machine gets the party started on the main stage.
.. ..
As the first band
to fire up the main stage, we were honored to say, “Welcome to
Trinumeral!” Of course, most folks were
still on their way in, setting up their campsites, and finding their way around
the festival grounds. Fortunately the
sound system was loud enough to project our music up and around the hills, and into
the campsites so people could listen while they set up. And the band was on fire! The composed parts were tight, and the
improvised parts were free and experimental, coming back together easily and
wrapped up into a nice package.

Did I mention it
was loud? Probably the biggest, loudest
stage Silver Machine has played yet! The
light show was fantastic too. We love
the outdoor festivals because we really get to unleash the full power of Silver
Machine, unrestrained by walls and sound restriction laws. Last year we played the Pond Stage, which was
great – especially having the pond right behind us to turn around and gaze at –
but the Main Stage was amplified to the max.
Mega wattage!

The stage crew
was very helpful with getting our equipment on and off the stage, and the
production staff made sure we got fed, watered, and beered. One of the great things about performing
first is we get to see all the other bands and party the rest of the
weekend. Several of our friends were
performing in other bands throughout the festival, so we had a great time both
reconnecting with our buds and making new friends. What a beautiful weekend it was, too. We were lucky to have very little rain the
first night, mostly while sleeping, and clear skies the rest of the time. Lucky because it had been raining a lot right
before and right after the festival. The
temperature was nice and mild, even getting a bit chilly in the early morning
hours, but warm enough during the day to take a swim in the ponds.
What a great weekend all around! Cheers to the organizers, promoters, and crew of Trinumeral!!! 8)
