Simply because their music is SO influential, when I first hear them I was like mmm… not THAT bad but when I subsequently heard more songs I simply LOVE them. I remember the first song I heard of them, "Gouge Away". Gosh, at the moment I didn’t appreciate it, but know I LOVE it. Then obviously "Where Is My Mind?" is like, who Pixies fan haven’t heard THAT song? But is not my favorite, that place is obviously for "Hey" and most recently "The Pot Head" which in my opinion, because I just hear it and haven’t read the lyrics, talk about them!! So now, if you haven’t hear their songs I’ll kind of explain them to you as I can, they begin soft and quiet, almost no vocals and then PAM! Hard and explosive! Just the way I like them! Jaja!
