Hey all--deepest apologies for not updating this blog in recent times.  But a few things are in the works...

First--thanks to all who came out for the AMAZING show at the Apollo Grill in October with the incredible, legendary Lloyd Cole.  It was definitely sort of a trip having the opportunity to play with him.  And the wonderful J.Johnson debuted some fantastic new songs in the opening slot.  Can't wait to hear what he has in store next.

We are back in the studio working on the third National Convention album (woot!).  We've been tentatively calling it "National Convention Three" (Toto or Chicago style).  But a large part of me wants to title it "Thriller".  You know.  We are extremely pleased with the early progress on it--and more updates will be given as we keep on trucking.

And--it appears that we will be doing a residency at The Apollo on Friday nights in January of 2010.  Details need to be ironed out--but it seems highly likely that we will be playing 4 consecutive weeks with a different support band each week.  Should be a great opportunity for us to kick the tires on some songs that will be featured on the upcoming album.
