Bikes and Bands on the Main Drag of Platte City!

September 5th and 6th, Platte City, MO

You dont need a bike to enjoy the rally

PLATTE CITY, MO – The annual open house at Kansas City's 358,000 square foot Harley Davidson Assembly Plant is an irresistible motorcycle magnet. Every year, the next door neighbor, Platte City, has invited the riders to a party. It isn't Sturgis yet, but the event has grown into a national attraction.

The weekend of September 5th- 6th has a Live Country Street dance on Friday to get things started, but the main events take place on Saturday. There is a charity ride, a motorcycle parade, a motorcycle show, a pool tournament as vendors line the streets. The concert stage at 4th and Main will feature Black Oak Arkansas with all the original members including Jim Dandy. The concert is free with Valentine's Old School Knights warming up the crowd at 7pm.

At 8:30, someone will win a brand new Harley-Davidson Fatboy. Raffle tickets are included in the registration packets for all the charity riders. All proceeds go to Boys Hope Girls Hope.

"The last 5 years have been so great and we really appreciate the marvelous support from Prime Flight," says Dave Brooks, former mayor of Platte City and one of the founding fathers of the rally. "This year, people are excited about the big free concert and the chance to win a new Harley Fatboy."
