Current mood:ridiculously lucky
So I was on my way to work earlier today.  I am almost there, just waiting at the stoplight to turn left, then a quick right, and I'm there.  I was actually relieved a little when I barely caught a yellow light and I gladly used it as an excuse to sit and listen to music for another two minutes.  I was listening to Gillian's "Everything is Free" on the ol' radio.  (Keep in mind that this is the holiday season...everyone is full of joy and empathy, not to mention, understanding.)
I start to relax and enjoy the song, but I looked to my left, and saw a car stalled out right in the middle of the left turn lane underneath the bridge (busy intersection).  I then saw about a hundred cars drive right past the car in obvious need of help.  Most likely to buy uncesessary stuff for people but in an urgent manner.
After the barrage of cars carrying important people with important things to do, who did I see walk up and push the car to safety? (probably a good 50 yards by the way)... three homeless guys staying underneath the bridge.
Some would say that they were taking advantage of  the chance to milk a stranger for a little cash,  but that's not what was happening.  I saw it with my own two eyes.
I'm not going to take the role of Pastor and try to explain what this means or how you could apply it in your own life, but I've been thinking about it all day, so I thought I'd share the story.  (it's true, by the way)

We are one being Philip. Most people live in this place asleep. They rush about doing what needs to be done everyday with eyes closed. Soldier ants in our commune. You are awake! You see the divine in ordinary things. Do not fear this gift; embrace it. Eventually, you will tap in to the song and it will never leave you. :-)
