Current mood:  creative
So Death By Stork (with She Mob's Sue H., original drummer Lisa McElroy, and also Andrew Sano and Tony Remington) is playing this really fun event, the Festival of the Fans.  12 bands playing short sets, all you can eat BBQ, and fun community building. No really, this is a friendly bunch of folks from different worlds and scenes, good inter-mixing.  In fact, Death By Stork was founded at the last Festival of the Fans by people that previously had been total strangers!  Who knows who YOU might meet at the next Festival of the Fans?  For you San Francisco-types, we welcome you to the world of the East Bay, where sometimes you can meet friendly new people who look you in the eye.

All the bands are really good.  Death By Stork has some crazy-ass songs to lay on ya, including "Avian Bird Flu (What Are We Gonna Do?)" and "Brain Matter" - a deathmetal rap song that involves audience participation in yelling "You don't know shit!"  Now who doesn't want to be part of something like that?
