Current mood:  contemplative
Category: Life
I try to convince people that their 2007 did not "fly by" and it's simple to do so.
Make 'em think about January & February, or how long ago summer was, that'll get them thinking. & if they still decide that, hey, that trip to the Russian River wasn't all that long ago. They're wrong and not thinking hard enough.

I'll try to keep this brief, cause a lot of you see this and do the same thing. TL/DR (in internet, cool-person lingo that means, Too Long, Didn't Read)
But, go ahead skim, I mean out of the 7168 blog views I've got so far ()
I'm sure most of you didn't read the whole thing.
Not modest, just reality.

So here's the basic outline of 2007 for me, so far the most important year of my life and definitely my best.
January-March - High school times
April - Jewish wedding in NYC
May - Bear Test, Prom
June - Graduated from high school, ran over a curb at Jamba Juice
July - Summer times
August - start college at SF state, meet girlfriend
September - Get a job at Live 105
November - Go to LA to visit Steve and see Brand New & thrice w/ him & chris - bus rides with clowns and a hippie stealing my pillow happened there.
December - go to Texas for christmas

Hmm...I guess I'll expand on that.

in February I turned 18, it feels incredibly long ago that day when we pre-gamed for a good 5 hours.
The week prior to that I went to 2 Taste of Chaos concerts, one in sacramento w/ keenan, Blair, & Chris resulted in us being able to stand on the side of the stage for Senses Fail's set, woah. & drunk chicks from Lodi (where every random girl i've ever met seems to be from).

April saw the trip to New York for my cousin's wedding. wearing a yarmulke and seeing bride & groom be put on chairs and lifted in the air was something...interesting...to see in person.

There's really a more in depth blog on all of these events if you read the past ones...but here's some of my major things.

I went from having to take a freshman geometry class in the last semester of high school with 14-year-olds just to get accepted to college to having a 40-year-old+ asian women sitting behind me in history in college asking me for a syllabus. Change of pace.

Summer was great, the zip-lock story was getting old, and the goat story was making a resurgence. Adventures with friends to Marysville, the Russian River, & SF were crazy cool, even with being accused of stealing and spending hours trying to avoid the heat.

It's fun to reflect.

I graduated this year, o damn.

Now to answer the question I've been getting from everyone on christmas break, "so how's college?"

It's pretty damn awesome to tell you the truth, I mean I got a 3.5, I'll take it.
O, I have a great job with great people working on the Live 105 Action Team (job description: give out stickers, promote the station, be awesome).
& my girlfriend Marsha is great too.
Those last two things are my biggest surprises of this year, I had lofty expectations, but working at Live 105? a girlfriend who I find incredibly attractive? didn't expect that.
I also had to take a semester of public speaking again, where as usual, I was a sarcastic mother fucker.

I went to a lot of concerts
best sets:
Butch Walker
Linkin Park
Silversun Pickups

I have guilty pleasures of watching Tila Tequila & I Love New York, but I still hate Newport Harbor & the Hills.

Overall, crazy year 2007 was, accomplished more than I could have ever expected and made even more great friends in Petaluma & in San Francisco. Great contrast in jobs, from oldest snack bar guy to youngest action team member. O ya, this new one is better than microwaving cheese and running skittles back and forth.

So to everyone, hope 2008 is great for you an I hope to have a nice one too.
I should be moving to SF for good because other friends will too. Probably in August.
Hope to move up at Live 105...even though I shouldn't expect to.
Maybe get another part-time gig somewhere?
even MORE concerts
and even MORE fun with friends
and keep this damn good relationship i have going.

finishing words?

and i have to say, i will miss you helping me run those skittles back and forth at the snack shack. im sure that the microwavable cheese that hardens in your arteries wont taste as magically delicious.
