Current mood:  full
Category: Life

I am now 4 months along in the adventure of pregnancy and I just thought I'd note some new changes (besides the obvious swelling belly and the ever growing boobs) that have occurred during this time that can only be a result of raging hormones.

1.  I can only drink ice cold water.  Not slightly cold or luke warm water.  Ice cold ONLY.  Otherwise, I want to vomit.

2.  I am convinced baby he/she is a vegetarian.  Meat tastes SO yucky to me, not that I really ate that much of it in the first place.

3.  I will and do cry at anything even remotely sad, happy, frustrating, etc.  Example:  was helping to decorate for a birthday party last weekend and I was trying to hang a very heavy "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sign with scotch tape.  It fell about 3-4 times.  I was literally biting my lip to hold back tears.

4.  I'm waking up several times during the night.  Anyone that knows me well, knows I can sleep through ANYTHING.  I am the heaviest most sound sleeper you will ever meet.  I literally used to be able to fall asleep and wake up in the same exact position because I don't move.  Now I toss and turn and wake up 5 or more times a night and can't fall back asleep.  Guess I'm preparing myself for when the baby is here.

5.  I found out today that spaghetti sauce makes me want to vomit.  I went to Subway for lunch and they got a little bit of it on my to go baggy and it made me want to throw up so bad I wanted to cry.

6.  I have a new and burning love for Hawaiin Punch.  I want it ALL of the time.  Lemonade is my enemy.  Again, something else that makes me want to vomit.

These are just a few things that may not seem like a big deal but are truly HUGE changes in my life.  I am not complaining but rather amazed at what pregnancy does to women!  I love this journey I am on but maybe I'm saying all of this just to get it out there, be kind to your fellow pregnant friends should you have any.  They are going through a lot!!!

16 week check up is tomorrow...get to hear the heartbeat again, this time with hubby by my side.

Just an end note....our softball team Government Surplus is really sucking it up this year...worst than last if that is possible.  It would be nice to win at least 1 more game before the season ends.  Send some good juju my way...we REALLY need it.

Pregnancy is one of the most bizarre, amazing, emotional and crazy times. I am glad that everything is going smoothly (even if a ton of stuff makes you want to vomit). Take lots of pictures of your belly they are fun to look back on after the baby comes and to share with them when they are older.

It sounds like you're doing well even with the new found weirdness. I miss having you next to me each day so we can share whatever the heck is going on. Continue trying to enjoy the changes. It's all gonna be worth it!!

Oh...and the news of the week is that Stacey is gonna be a Grandma. She's been telling everyone she knows, it's quite amusing.

It sounds like alot of intersting things are happening. Just wait until you two get to see the baby in a ultrasound, it is way cool.

I'm so excited for you! Pregnancy is one of the most magical times in a woman's life. Enjoy every moment of it, for it passes too quickly [a hindsight vision]. And, let those tears fall. It's a healthy release valve for you and the lil' sprite. :-)

If you need anything, please let me know.

Big Squnchy Hugs!!!
