The hubby and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday which meant Sushifest at Esoji (which is just as enjoyable even though I can only eat the cooked stuff), movie and a nice and quiet evening with my favorite guy. Two years went by in a blink of an eye and here we sit today patiently awaiting the birth of our first baby and with Chris officially an R.N. I find myself looking back and seeing how far both of us have come and can't help but appreciate that all of the struggle and pain happens for a reason as cliche as that saying goes. We have finally found our "groove". There is still so much I want for both of us in life; for us to have adventures and travels. But for now as we sit cozy in our home with our goofy Gunther Dog awaiting a scratch behind the ear, I couldn't feel more blissful, hopeful and satisfied. The hubby gave me the most delightful anniversary card that I've read about 20 times already because it was so incredibly lovely and he gave me a gift certificate for a local music shop to put towards a new and improved violin which will really motivate me to continue playing! Most of all, the best part of the day was just sitting at dinner with him and having "us" time which I always enjoy. He makes me laugh uncontrollably and he has me so crazy about him that I even think his farts are cute....sometimes. So this post is an ode to Hubby, thank you for making me laugh, for your big squishy hugs, for making me feel loved, for cooking me dinner a lot lately, for being so supportive and sitting thru a 3 hour dress rehearsal for my concert without complaining once, for holding my hand, for letting Gunther out in the morning instead of asking me to get out of bed to do it, for putting your hands on my belly and talking to the baby and overall for just being a partner, person, friend and man that I can trust and count on with all that I have. I love you smelly butt
