so, ive been living in New York for 8 months now and things are changing. my voice is getting lower and the fuzz that used to inhabit my face is being taken over by wisdom wiskers... i turned 21 and 21 is slowly turning me. All dumbness aside, I've been busy writing, and when im not writing im sharpening the pencil in my head. Ive been learning a lot, but nothing i didnt already know... just things that were always put in the pockets of others that have wisdom wiskers (or wisdom boobies). i've posted very few of my moments on my myspace, and there are more still on my facebook. We have a new website coming with new footage from CMJ festival. Right now on my (myspace) page you will find a video that was shot by a friend of mine, who was my roomate for 5 days. He followed us around one night on our way to a gig... The video doesnt tell much about New York or Me, but at the same time it tells a lot more than i could type. It includes our entire set at the show and inbetween songs there are little clips of things. The video itself is about 42 min long and contains a few new songs, one about a robot who decodes love (verry loosely inspired by the book "Anthem") and another new song called "Give Into the Night" which is the song being played in the trailer on my (myspace) page. This particular song i had written the day of the performance and this is the first time we had played it for anyone. David (the guy who was filming, who was a film student, who was my roomate for 5 days) did a wonderfull job with the cheap camera and verry little footage, to capture a hint of what the song was about actually, though that wasnt the initial goal... and the song captures a hint of what my final days as a kid were like as well as a hint of what i've been learning in New York. It is sloppy and cheap, but its real.

p.s. i got to vote for the first time ever and i did it as a New Yorker! i couldnt have selected a better year! i wont say who i voted for because unfortunatly it is not a popular choice in my home state (missouri) like it is in new york... but lets just say i helped make history. :)
