The Black Lily Film and Music Festival

The legendary Black Lily that was home to musicians like the Jazzyfatnasties and Jill Scott is being resurrected as annual event! The Black Lily Film & Music Festival, May 4-6, 2007, will be the first event of its kind in Philadelphia..wholly focused on the contributions of women to these fields. The three-day festival will feature film screenings and musical performances as well workshops for women on production and distribution.

The festival is now accepting music submissions from female musical artists for our festival concerts to be held at the World Cafe Live. Women of all genres and styles as well as women in all stages of their musical careers are welcome to apply.
