Reda El Amrani AKA DJ Medboy was born in 1987, in Fez, Morocco. It all
started at the young age of twelve… While most kids were busy playing
video games and watching cartoons, he was developing a passion for
music. What began as a fascination a child has for the beats played on
the Radio and on numerous T.V stations, grew to become a lifestyle of a
young DJ.
In 2001, DJ Medboy joined the conservatory not for the
purpose of learning music, but to sharpen a skill that was already
present and to take it to a higher level…to a more professional level!
This transitional phase simply helped him match his inborn skills with
the art of music, and unfold the secrets that generate coherent
melodies.
Thanks to his musical talent, DJ Medboy learned very fast.
In a short amount of time, and more precisely at the age of 17, he
started spinning a newly acquired turntable and discovered the joy of
putting the dance floors of private parties on fire.
Blowing
his 19th birthday’s candles, with more experience, with confidence
gained, and with a personal style at his disposal, he shifted to mixing
in parties with a larger public, hence with higher expectations. Also,
DJ Medboy performed at several clubs where he got to experience the
taste of mixing live. He is currently propagating his beats through the
two web radios Club Station Live (France) and The Beat Live (United
Kingdom) for the joy of a large and faithful audience.
DJ Medboy
was influenced by the biggest DJs in the house electro music world,
including Robbie Rivera, Benny Benassi, Juan Magan, Steve Angelo,
Laidback Luke, Mark Knight, Markus gardeweg and many others. While
interested in house music in all its subtypes, a fact confirmed through
his favourite expression “Open Mind…Open Music”, the types that make
him particularly ecstatic are: Tribal, Electro, Prog & Tech House.
He
started composing his own house tracks at the age of 18. Today, he is
more than just a DJ…He’s a producer and an artist on FAXSIDE RECORDS,
one among other labels, via which his tracks are released and made
available in stores.
Today, besides carving his career as a
doctor, he's ready to spread his unique style throughout the country’s
nightclubs. He is determined to leave an impression that won’t fade
away and to bring a new breeze to the dance floors. Watch for it…he’s
coming!
