Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, September 10, 2007
We are all stunned and deeply saddened by the news of the untimely passing Hughie Thomasson. He was one of the nicest and most talented people in the business. We just played a few shows with him recently and he looked and sounded better than ever. He was a friend and we will all miss him. Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers go out to his family.

In a place you only dream of, where your soul is always free
Silver stages, golden curtains, filled my head plain as could be
As a rainbow grew around the sun, all the stars I've loved, who died
Came from somewhere beyond the scene you see, these lovely people played just for me.

God Bless you, your family and friends Hughie. I'll miss you

Live your life like there's no tomorrow. That's what I did in 2007, and I'm glad I did. My older brother knew The Outlaws back in 1975. Things came around full circle for me, as I met and talked with Huey and The Outlaws In Waynesboro and Baltimore last year. I feel so honored to have known this wonderful man for the brief time I did. He has left a Legacy that will never be forgotten!

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Hughie Thomasson of the Outlaws band I loved their music and have albums from back in 72. I know he joined Lynyrd Skynyrd in 95 and then went back to the Outlaws in 2005. I didn't know that he had passed on to be with our Lord, I can see him in the Heavens with Jimi Hendrix,Ronnie Van Zandt and all the greats that aren't with us now.
I know he will be missed by all and I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

All The Best,

Christy Allums

Not that Billy Powell has joined him Heaven looks better all the time for those coming closer to the end of our journey. Rock On Brother Hughie.
